Ans. An inclined plane works because it increases the distance that the load has to be moved. That makes it easier to move the load by using less force.
A screw is actually an inclined plane that winds round a rod to form a spiral.
i What is a pulley? How is it useful?
Ans.A pulley is a wheel with a rope or something similar around its edge.The pulley changes the the direction of the force applied to one end of the rope that makes work easy.
